candygoogy

I’m an IT technician by day. On my own time I build software and websites, and Fettle is the one I’m proudest of.

A free, open-source check-up for Windows PCs. It reads what Windows already knows and prints it as a receipt: a plain-words verdict on every line, the next steps at the top, and the numbers underneath for anyone who wants them.

Fettle’s window. On the left, a receipt for an older laptop that says Needs attention, with three next steps and a storage line marked Watch. On the right, the main verdict, a Deep check offer and the Share, Print, Save and Copy buttons.Fettle’s window. Why

Most people can’t tell whether their PC is healthy. The tools that could tell them show raw numbers for people who already know what they mean. Fettle reads the same data and says what it means: verdicts first, numbers second.

What was hard

Reading disk and TPM health without administrator rights, and making sense of SSD wear values that every maker reports differently. Partway through, I replaced the Tauri desktop app with a native Slint one, and swapped the website’s TypeScript engine for the same Rust code compiled to WebAssembly, checked against the old one on 405 test cases in English and Italian.

What it won’t do

It only reads. It doesn’t clean, “boost” or change anything, and it sends nothing on its own except an update check you can turn off.

Side projects

  1. candygoogy-bot

    Source on GitHub2026

A Telegram bot that runs on an always-on home server and wakes, sleeps and shuts down the PCs on the same network. Every power action asks first, and the bot reports what actually happened, like “Booted in 45s.” It also keeps an eye on the server itself: disks, services, containers and backups.

    Python, Docker, systemd. MIT.

Websites

  1. Dolci Eoliani

    dolci-eoliani.it2026

An online shop window for an artisan pastry shop. Customers browse the pastries, put an order together and send it on WhatsApp. The site is in Italian, and every page is prerendered so search engines can read it.

Built and maintainedReact 19, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind

  2. Siel Eolie

    sieleolie.com2026

The bilingual site of the electrical firm I work for: its services, certifications and past work. No framework, just HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript, built to load fast.

About

Most of what I’ve built started as a fix for a problem I had myself: something gets in my way, and I build the thing that moves it. A few started because a friend asked.

Off the clock I read, get lost in anything to do with aeronautics, or just take it easy, and there’s usually a side project open somewhere.

  1. IT Technician at Siel Eolie

IT infrastructure, rack builds and cabling, diagnostics, and the firm’s PCs.

  2. QA Tester at Gaijin Entertainment

Freelance and remote. Tested builds and reported bugs.

  3. University

    Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering

    Three-year university degree.

  4. School

    Technical diploma

    Information technology.
